New Database: Environment Complete

Environment Complete offers deep coverage in applicable areas of agriculture, ecosystem ecology, energy, renewable energy sources, natural resources, marine & freshwater science, geography, pollution & waste management, environmental technology, environmental law, public policy, social impacts, urban planning, and more. Environment Complete contains more than 1,722,000 records from more than 1,660 domestic and international titles going back to the 1940s (including 1,094) active core titles as well as more than 100 monographs. The database also contains full-text for more than 600 journals.

New Database: Education Research Complete

Education Research Complete is the definitive online resource for education research. Topics covered include all levels of education from early childhood to higher education, and all educational specialties, such as multilingual education, health education, and testing. Education Research Complete provides indexing and abstracts for more than 1,820 journals, as well as full text for more than 900 journals, and includes full text for more than 71 books and monographs, and for numerous education-related conference papers.

New Database: Computers & Applied Sciences Complete

Computers & Applied Sciences Complete covers the research and development spectrum of the computing and applied sciences disciplines. CASC provides indexing and abstracts for more than 1,470 academic journals, professional publications, and other reference sources from a diverse collection. Full text is also available for more than 660 periodicals.

Looking for government bills? Try the Canadian Legislative Pulse

The Canadian Legislative Pulse is a unique workflow tool that provides users with one convenient location to obtain information on the progress of Bills in the federal and provincial legislatures. Subscribers have access to an on-line service which enables them to locate and track detailed information, from first reading dates to proclamations and in force dates, for all the legislatures across Canada. The search engine allows users to locate Bills by jurisdiction, session of parliament, bill title, chapter number or amended Act.

Martin's Online Criminal Code

For those in Law & Society or looking at aspects of crime, Martin's Criminal Code is now available online.

Martin's Online Criminal Code is an online legal research tool that provides users with access to the Criminal Code at a particular point in time, along with the corresponding commentary. Users can browse through previous versions of Martin's Annual Criminal Code, or search for a particular section or subsection at a specific date.

It includes full-text of the following:
  • all versions of the Criminal Code dating back to 1955,
  • cross-references, synopses, and annotations from Martin's Annual Criminal Code dating back to 1955,
  • forms of charges dating back to 1970, and
  • cases referred to in Martin's case law annotations.
